National Tourism Administration has Marked 227 km Long Hiking Trails

This year, the National Tourism Administration marked a 227 km long hiking trail and set up infrastructure in seven regions of Georgia to promote adventure tourism.

In Adjara, Guria, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Racha-Lechkhum and Kvemo Svaneti, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kakheti, 610 signposts, 292 signposts, and 44 information boards were installed. The National Tourism Administration planned and organized hiking trails in 12 municipalities.

Marked trails allow hikers to travel to different regions of Georgia without missing the road. The trails are mostly easy to moderate, making it easy for hikers to visit mountains, lakes, valleys, waterfalls, and historical monuments.

The National Tourism Administration designates hiking trails annually. The goal of the project is to develop and connect a network of single footpaths.
