Kapnistavi in Adjara Arranges Tourist Infrastructure for Canyoning
Adjara Tourism Department plans to arrange the tourist infrastructure for canyoning in the village of Kapnistavi near Batumi.
The village of Kapnistavi in Khelvachauri Municipality is a tourist attraction with an abundance of waterfalls hidden in a beautiful gorge, footpaths, artificial pools, camping sites, an open-air museum in the center of the village, and ancient mills. There are up to 10 waterfalls of different heights in the village, the highest of which is 35 meters high.
After arranging the canyoning infrastructure, Kapnistavi will be another tourist destination where extreme tourism lovers will be able to access and hike the waterfalls. The first canyoning route was organized by the Tourism Product Development Agency in the Uchkho Valley in 2020, where there are 12 cascading waterfalls and a 1.5 km long canyon located in the beautiful valley.
