Georgia Opens Borders for All Fully-Vaccinated Visitors on February 1
Starting February 1, 2021, citizens of all countries will be admitted to Georgia if they submit documents proving they have passed a full course of vaccination, Georgian Economy Minister Natia Turnava said.
The full vaccination implies 2 doses, the Economy Minister noted. “We take into account that the number of vaccinated people grows worldwide and our key objective is to attract vaccinated visitors to Green Adjara”, Natia Turnava said. As for visitors with incomplete vaccination, they must submit a 72-hour document with a negative PCR test response. They must also pass the mandatory PCR test on the third day after entering the country. “Citizens and residents of EU, Israel, Switzerland, USA, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, as well as transit travelers will be admitted to Georgia if they submit a 72-hour document with negative PCR test response.
They must also pass the mandatory PCR test on the third day after entering the country. We will cancel the self-isolation obligation. At the same time, we urge airlines not to transport foreign citizens without the 72-hour document with negative PCR test response or COVID-vaccination documents”, Natia Turnava noted.
