FlyDubai Resumes Flights to Georgia from January 28

Due to the deterioration of the situation in terms of the spread of the coronavirus, both Georgian and foreign airlines have had to cancel or postpone scheduled flights for some time.

The United Arab Emirates state airline Flydubai will resume flights to Georgia from January 28, according to a statement from the Georgian Airports Association. The Dubai-Tbilisi flight will be operated twice a week.

Georgia suspended all air traffic in mid-March this year when WHO declared a coronavirus pandemic. The restrictions did not apply only to special flights aimed at repatriating citizens of the country. Regular flights resumed in mid-summer, but were halted again due to epidemic deterioration. Finally, the ban on air travel was extended until January 31, 2021.
