Average Daily Prices for Large Hotels Fell by 30-50% in August

According to the TBC Capital Survey, as of August bookings made in the post-COVID-19 period, the occupancy rate in large hotels in Tbilisi is 6%, in the seaside 15%, in Kakheti 32% and in other regions 22% (including Kutaisi, Borjomi and Kazbegi).

Compared to last week, the load of large hotels increased in August for seaside (+2 PP), Kakheti (+4 PP) and other regions (+1 PP), while decreased for Tbilisi hotels (-3 PP) mainly due to cancellation of pre-COVID bookings.

Compared to last week, the occupancy in large hotels decreased for hotels in Kakheti and other regions (54% and 41%, respectively), while for seaside hotels remained unchanged (24%).

In addition, the average daily prices of large hotels are reduced by 30-50% in August.
