Calen AI to Introduce Conversational AI Automation Standards to Georgian Market

Calen AI is a Georgian startup participating in the acceleration program of 500 Georgia, which was founded by Irakli Beselidze in 2021. It is a platform that makes it easy for businesses to interact with their customers. Through it, it is possible to create a smart assistant based on artificial intelligence, which will respond to the user in the virtual network and, moreover, conduct business dialogues.

Its co-founder, Irakli Beselidze, spoke to MVP in detail about the startup:

The company started creating AI assistants in 2019, after which we mainly served small and medium-sized businesses in America and Australia. And in 2021, we started working on packaging our experience into a SaaS product format to make AI assistants accessible to any business.

One team sent a message to a thousand Facebook pages this year - we asked the companies 2 simple questions:

What phone number can I contact you on?

I am interested in your prices. Where can I get this information?

Only 120 companies out of 1000 answered both questions, and their average response time was 15 hours.

Facebook's data shows that worldwide, users send billions of messages to companies every day through Messenger alone, and these daily business opportunities fail to be exploited due to long response times and poor response quality.

Calen AI's mission is to help companies serve customers in a timely manner, improve the quality of communication with them, reduce costs and increase revenue.’’

Calen AI offers small and medium businesses a platform through which they can create their own AI assistant that is already trained. For example, it will answer the following questions: "How much is the item?", "Where is your address?", "Do you have a discount?", "How should I prepare for the meeting?" "What are your business hours?", "Do you have parking?" and so on.

Accordingly, the standard assistant is already ready to automate up to 80% of customer conversations. For this, the company must fill out a form in order to provide the assistant with appropriate answers.

Currently, their main focus is on large businesses and we are in the phase of negotiations with the most famous brands of Georgia. Very soon, the company will announce their cooperation with them.

‘’The biggest challenge is language. Georgian is not a priority for the tech giants – we mostly use their platforms to build AI assistants. Therefore, we have to come up with new ideas and workarounds in order to maintain our high standard in the Georgian version as well,’’ said Irakli.

Calen AI is planning  to introduce Conversational AI automation standards to the Georgian market for both small and large businesses and enter the international market from 2023.
