Avtandil Kasradze: Region’s Major Startup Accelerator Plans to Enter Georgia

The region’s major startup accelerator plans to enter Georgia, Avtandil Kasradze, head of the Technology and Innovations Agency told Business Morning TV Program.

“The region’s major startup accelerator plans to enter Georgia, establish a private investment fund and finance Georgian startups”, Kasradze said.
 
The company will be an absolutely independent body and the Government will not interfere in the decision-making process. The program is open to everybody wishing to participate in, he noted.
 
“Silicon Valley’s leading top accelerator plans to enter Georgia. We will divulge the company in several weeks. I abstain name this company before completion of contract negotiations. The company has won sharp competition. All top brands have participated in the competition to enter Georgia. The company will bring an private investment fund to finance Georgian startups together with domestic companies. This will be an independent accelerator and the government will not interfere in the startup discussion process and decision-making process. This business is interested to select the best variants. There is no analogous accelerator in the region”, Kasradze pointed out.
