Georgia joins Global Game Jam, the largest annual gaming event. On January 28-30, a 48-hour hackathon will be held at the Tbilisi Moxy Hotel in Tbilisi, where participants will be able to give complete freedom to their creativity, try new things, conduct experiments and create perfect games in just 172800 seconds.

The hackathon will be held in parallel in more than 600 locations in more than 100 countries around the world. The aim of the event is to facilitate the implementation of innovative ideas and help participants acquire new skills and exciting contacts.

The principle of the hackathon is as follows: the participants form teams and work together, as a team, to create the most successful and interesting digital or non-digital game. The event will have one specific theme and all games will be created around this topic, however, what will be the theme of this year's event remains a mystery until the opening day.

The team that creates the best game of Global Game Jam Georgia will receive a cash prize of 5000 GEL.

Hackathon participants will have the opportunity to listen to well-known speakers in the gaming industry, share knowledge and experience from them.

Participation in the event is free and open to citizens holding a Covend Passport who are 18 years of age or older and have knowledge, experience or interest in games, development, design, music, art or any other field/subject that is important for creating a game.
