Shindisi on Santa Barbara Film Festival

On January 15-25, Santa Barbara International Film Festival will be held in the U.S.A where Dimitri Tsintsadze's film "Shindisi" will be launched.

Shindisi is based on real events that occurred during the Russian military intervention in Georgia in 2008 August war. It tells the story of Shindisi, which is the name of the village, where Russian occupation forces sieged Georgian military after peace corridor was promised. The main roles are played by Goga Pipinashvili, Dato Bakhtadze, and Tamuna Abshilava. The world premiere of the film was held in Warshaw film festival, where it was awarded by Grand Prize. Dimitri Tsintsadze won the Best Film Director award.

Shindisi screenings will take place in Santa Barbara on January 21st, 22nd and 24th.
