Georgia Celebrated European Heritage Days

Ilias Baghi hosted the event presented by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, Georgian National Film Center and Artarea.

During the European Heritage Days celebration, film by Kote Marjanishvili, "Amoki", which was screened in 1927, was shown and therefore, accompanied by electronic music. Music was produced and presented by Vaja Mari and Gio Kuchukhidze.

Maia Chilashvili, first deputy of director of film center discussed the matters of cinema and Georgian film heritage. 

Speakers were Cristian Urse - Deputy head office of Council of Europe, Nana Dolidze, head of cultural department of Education and Science Ministry and Director of Artarea - Taso Chkheidze.

Amoki is the first screening of foreign literature in Georgian cinema. The film was created according to the novel written by Stefan Zweig. Main role is played by Nato Vachnadze.
