USA to Assist Georgia in Implementing Agricultural Projects

The USA will assist Georgia in implementing agricultural projects, the Agriculture Ministry press-release reads.

Deputy Agriculture Minister of Georgia Nino Tandilashvili and Deputy Secretary of the US Commerce Department David de Falco held an online meeting. The Parties discussed the agricultural sector development strategy of Georgia, prospects for the introduction of US technologies in the agriculture sector, and the SABIT program organized by the Department of Commerce (for the private sector).

“At the meeting, we discussed the agriculture projects to be implemented in Georgia soon. The US party affirmed readiness to overcome the current challenges in the Agriculture sector and implementing farmers' support programs. Consequently, we determined the directions, where we will receive financial support from the strategic partner”, Nino Tandilashvili said
