Upcoming Harvest Predictions by Minister of Agriculture

The Minister of Agriculture suggests that this year's harvest will not be smooth, the reason of which is Coronavirus pandemic.

Levan Davitashvili explained in the program "Four Business Partners" that work has already started to prevent risks.

"We have seen how COVID-19 has affected wine sales. We have a decrease in export markets. So we will not have a simple vintage this year.

However, every year we had a high level of organization so that there would be no problem with passing the products.This is also a very difficult challenge that we are already working on.

There are so many challenges in terms of crop yields, still in stock, that the National Wine Agency has been working on these issues on a daily basis for almost 2 weeks now. We will have to take extraordinary steps in this sector, ”Levan Davitashvili said.
