Trade Report: The Increased Trade Volume between Georgia and Croatia in 2022

The trade volume between Georgia and Croatia increased by 49% in 2022, reaching a total of USD 11,970,000.

In the past, both countries had a similar import-export ratio in 2013 and 2018. However, exports accounted for a small portion of their trade relationship, with Georgia exporting only USD 229,000 worth of goods to Croatia last year. The main products exported included plastic products for transportation or packaging, mannequins for legs, cosmetics, bras, belts, sportswear, furniture, and other minimal volume items.

On the other hand, Georgia imported USD 11.7 million worth of goods from Croatia, contributing to the growth in trade volume. The imports increased by 56.8% compared to 2021. The top-5 imported commodities were:

  1. Ferrous metal made reservoirs, cisterns, and similar capacities - USD 1.1 million
  2. Knitted sweaters, pullovers, and similar products - USD 1 million
  3. Suits, sets, and shorts - USD 911,000
  4. T-shirts and warm coats - USD 675,000
  5. Knitwear including suits, sets, jackets, and others - USD 627,000

Georgia also imported animal feed, packaged medicines, TV receivers, vehicles designed to transport 10 or more people, shaving products, deodorants, suits, men's and boys' clothes, and other accessories, and knitwear from Croatia.
