Tbilisi Central Park Project Takes Another 3 Years to Complete

Irakli Khmaladze, the Vice-Mayor of Tbilisi, stated on Wednesday that the Tbilisi Central Park project is likely to take an additional 2-3 years to finish.

He explained that the project is quite large-scale and is the biggest park in Tbilisi, and while some work has already been done, such as land works costing GEL 5 million and dendrological work, it is likely to take longer than initially anticipated to complete.

Despite this, he emphasized that it is important for the process to continue in order to build a significant new park for the city. This statement comes despite the Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, announcing in 2020 that the project would begin in October and be completed within 2 years.
