Subtropical Fruit Harvest Increased in Georgia

Subtropical fruit production has increased in Georgia. According to Geostat, last year there were 20,400 tons of subtropical fruit harvest in the country, which is 27.5% higher than the same period last year.

At the same time, in 2019, both walnut and citrus production increased. In contrast, crop yields decreased by almost 45%. More specifically, 52,100 tons of seeds were produced in the country last year.

Compared to the previous year, less turmeric got imported in the country last year.

In the last six years, the largest fruit harvest in Georgia came in 2014, totaling 210,000 tons.
