Samkharadze: Spanish Company made Large Investment in GWP that Hopefully Solves Water Supply

According to Nikoloz Samkharadze, a member of the Georgian Dream, last year almost $ 200 million has been invested in GWP.

The MP hopes that the problem in terms of water supply in the capital will be solved in the near future.

"Last year, Spanish company Aqualia bought GWP and invested almost $ 200 million. Large Western European companies do not pay $ 200 million to companies that have no prospects.

However, yesterday a disaster struck and we all witnessed it. It is unfortunate that the company itself has problems because the canals have not changed for a long time. However, a new investor has arrived. This is one of the largest investments made in Georgia in recent years and therefore, in the near future, these problems will probably be corrected," - Nikoloz Samkharadze stated at the plenary sitting of the Parliament.

GWP opposition MPs Aleko Elisashvili and Alexander Rakviashvili criticized the company at the session.
