Reclamation Infrastructure Projects Worth Up To GEL 20 Million to Commence in Kvemo Kartli

Rehabilitation projects valued up to GEL 20 million are scheduled to begin in the Kvemo Kartli region in 2023. During a working meeting, Tengiz Nasaridze, the General Director of Georgia Reclamation LLC, and Giorgi Dokhturishvili, the State Trustee in Kvemo Kartli, discussed the condition of reclamation systems in the region.

The meeting evaluated the implemented and ongoing works by municipalities and discussed the projects set to begin this year. Currently, nine rehabilitation projects, with an estimated value of GEL 15.7 million, are ongoing in the Kvemo Kartli region. The successful completion of these projects will result in the regular irrigation of over 2500 hectares of agricultural land and the improvement of irrigation water supply for 900 hectares.

The regional administration of Kvemo Kartli hosted the meeting, with the participation of the heads of reclamation of Georgia and the mayors of the municipalities in the Kvemo Kartli region.
