Production and Sale of Pollutants to be Allowed Only in Specific Places of Georgia

Enforcement of a law prohibiting the sale of construction materials, tires and flammable substances in the central areas of the country is expected from January 1, 2021.

As Kakha Kaladze said at the Tbilisi government session, the law is already in force and its implementation will start on January 1, 2021, so that those working in this field can meet the law.

The mayor instructed Vice-Mayor Irakli Khmaladze and Maia Bitadze to communicate with the representatives of the business sector and give them relevant instructions.

"We want these people who are working in this direction to have some time to prepare for the implementation of this law. Because from January 1, 2021, this will be followed by very strict control and a strict response to those who do not enforce the law, ”said the Tbilisi Mayor.

Specific places will be allocated for the production and sale of such materials.
