"We will spend GEL 32 billion on implementing infrastructural and regional development projects for the next 10 years, Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili told reporters on July 23 when introducing the Government’s 10-year development plan.
The mentioned sum will be spent on building roads, bridges, water supply systems in all municipalities. This is our European modernization plan, Irakli Gharibashvili said and expressed gratitude to international donor organizations.
“Many projects are being implemented in Georgia today. Roads, bridges are being built. We have launched urban renovation projects in all municipalities. Urban development projects will be launched in all 63 municipalities and these projects are to bring European development and European spirits to all municipalities. Furthermore, today, we have many other challenges in the country. Today, approximately 3,000 villages cannot receive high-quality water. Rehabilitation and restoration of intercity and local roads remain the key challenge, as well as completion of highways. Consequently, our key priority and key accents will be made on regional development and renovation for the next years. GEL 32 billion will be spent on regional development, infrastructure, road, bridges, water supply systems in order to change the whole picture in all municipalities.
This is our European development and renovation plan. Indeed, we actively cooperate with our donors, whom I express huge gratitude for assistance:”, Irakli Gharibashvili noted.
