New Enterprise Launched in Rustavi to Sew Sportswear for Famous Teams

A high-tech textile enterprise - "Georgian Textile" was opened in Rustavi with the support of TBC. The foundation was laid in the summer of 2020 for the construction of a 25,000 sq m factory on 38,000 sq m of land.

Georgian Textile Ltd. is the fourth enterprise of Adjara Textile Group. Like other enterprises of the network, sportswear will be sewn in the new garment factory in Rustavi, which will be fully exported. The enterprise currently employs 700 people.

The total cost of the project is 20 million GEL, of which 10 million GEL was funded by TBC within the program - "Produce in Georgia".

Georgian exporting company Adjara Textile has been involved in the textile industry since 2009 and has so far combined three garment factories in Batumi, Kobuleti and Poti. Where a total of more than 3500 people are employed. The company sells sports products in the international market and cooperates with such major sports brands as Nike, Adidas, Lotto, Erima, Under Armor and others.

The company sews sportswear for the world's leading sports teams (Ajax, Arsenal, Lyon, Malaga, Atletico, Madrid, Galatasaray) and for various national teams (France, England, Portugal, Croatia, Switzerland).

The group produces 15,000,000 units of sports products annually and its total annual export volume is GEL 250 million. With the launch of a new factory in Rustavi, the production volume will increase even more.

Enterprise was incorporated with a Turkish investment and intends to employ 4 000 people from Rustavi and Gardabani, 90% of employees are women.
