National Forestry Agency and Centre for International Cooperation and Development of Slovenia Formed Grant Agreement
Grant Agreement is signed by National Forestry Agency and Centre for International Cooperation and Development of Slovenia.
As National Forestry Agency declares, grant consists of 563,540 Euros which will be fully used by the project "Sustainable Maintenance of Forests in Municipality of Adigeni".
"The project is part of forestry reforms, which promotes not only maintaining forests by international standards but also improving the social-economical circumstances of locals. Local inhabitants and their organized communal meetings will be beneficiaries.", the agency added.
"The main priority of the National Forestry Agency is to strengthen sustainable and multipurpose profits of forests, preserve ecosystem of forests, and increasing the role of forests in the villages since these processes will reduce social pressure on forests.", stated Archil Nikoleishvili, Head of National Forestry Agency.
It is also worth mentioning, that WWF is already implementing the project "Eco Corridors" in the municipality of Adigeni.
