At the initiative of the agency "Produce in Georgia", and with the involvement of the Georgian Airports Union and the Civil Aviation Agency, the feasibility study of the Aircraft Maintenance Center (MRO) is being completed.
The research on the strategic investment project for the country - "Aircraft Repair Center" (MRO) showed a positive result. "Moving to the final stage of the research, we saw that the country has great potential in this direction and we are actively working on the project," - said the director of the agency "Produce in Georgia" Mikheil Khidureli.
The research is supported by The USAID Economic Security Program and is conducted by the American business consulting company Frost & Sullivan.
During the visit to Georgia, Tornike Zirakishvili, Deputy Director of the Produce in Georgia Agency, representatives of the Investment Department and the Airports Union team, together with Frost & Sullivan experts, visited the Kutaisi Airport area; In addition, the experts also studied the territory of Tbilisi Airport.
Work on the MRO feasibility study will be completed by the end of the summer and will include a detailed analysis of the potential of Georgian airports in this area.
