Kutaisi International Airport Finishes First Phase of New Terminal Construction Works

As the Georgian Airports Association reports, a terrace, facade, stained-glass window and roofing have been arranged at the new passenger terminal of Kutaisi International Airport. The new terminal has the so-called Green Roofing with greened open terraces.

The works were fulfilled by LLC Anagi by order of the Georgian Airports Association of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.

The company has already finished the interior partition walls and the terminal floor. At this stage, the luggage management system is being installed. Interior coating works will start soon that were suspended amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

After the new terminal repair works are finished, the old terminal will be overhauled. Finally, both terminals will be integrated into one space and Kutaisi International Airport will have a united terminal with arrival and departure halls, with full equipment that are necessary for the airport operation.Kutaisi International Airport’s new passenger terminal will be bigger four times compared to the old terminal. The new terminal will comprise 7 Gates and will be capable to handle 1,200 passengers simultaneously without obstacles. After the project completion, Kutaisi International Airport will cover about 30,000 square meters.
