International Airports of Tbilisi and Batumi Move to Limited Mode of Operation
Tea Zakaradze, deputy of general manager of TAV Georgia declared, that international airports of Tbilisi and Batumi are moving to limited mode of operation.
Canceled flights due to COVID-19 damaged the airports.
As Zakaradze defined, only two air companies continue operating in the international airport of Tbilisi.
"Today, 7 flights will be launched from Tbilisi international airport, from March 21, airports of Tbilisi and Batumi move to a limited mode of operation. This means, that only Georgian Airways and Flydubai will perform flights 4 times a week. Thus, only 2-3 flights will be launched from Tbilisi airport during the day. Factually, Batumi airport already stopped working.
Every air company, which was operating in the airports of Tbilisi and Batumi, is leaving the Georgian air market temporarily. We hope, that everything will be recovered soon.", declared deputy of general manager, Tea Zakaradze.
