Georgian Olive Oil Replaces 22% of Imports
“Georgian Olive Oil has replaced 22% of imports”, Giorgi Svanidze, founder of the Georgian Olive Company told the Business Partner TV Program.
These indicators will exceed 30% in the near future, he noted.
“Many years ago, we launched the olive business in Georgia. The country depended on imports by 100%. Gradually, we managed to replace the imports by 22%”, Giorgi Svanidze noted.
The company will buy olives from about 200 farmers soon.
“The number of supplier framers grows every year. We buy 500-kg supplies and 8-10 tons too. We are ready to buy any volume of olive”, Giorgi Svanidze noted.
