Georgia Raises $21.3 million from Peach Exports – TOP Exports Markets

As the Georgian Agriculture Ministry reports, from May 1 to October 4, 2020, Georgia’s peach and nectarine exports marked $21.3 million (25.3 thousand tons).

“In the repotting period, peach and nectarine exports doubled compared to the same period of 2019 in terms of volumes, while the value of the exports has grown by $ 8.8 million”, the Agriculture Ministry reports.

As for exports markets, Russian Federation remains a key market, where Georgia exported 16,769 tons of peach. Armenia ranks second with 7,510 tons and Azerbaijan is third with 567 tons.

Besides the mentioned countries, Georgian peach and nectarine were exported to Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Poland, Moldova, Slovenia, Singapore and Qatar.
