Georgia is Starting Negotiations with MCC to Launch a New Program
Georgia is in talks with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) to launch a new program.
This was announced during the visit of the Minister of Finance Lasha Khutsishvili to the United States of America during a meeting with MCC Vice President Alicia Phillips Mandaville.
It is already known that the program aims to support the development and economic growth of the country.
As the Minister of Finance noted, the involvement of the Millennium Challenge Corporation in the direction of education reform is particularly vital to promoting economic growth and poverty reduction. It is noteworthy that MCC's second $ 140 million compacts have become one of the largest investments in Georgia's education sector.
The Georgian side briefed the Vice President of the Millennium Challenge Corporation on the recent agreement signed between Georgia and the World Bank, which provides for the allocation of $ 400 million in financial resources for the Human Capital Program.
