EIB Plans to Allocate 200 Million Euros to Georgia
The European Investment Bank plans to allocate 200 million euros for various needs to Georgia to address the challenges of Covid-19.
Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia discussed the issue at a video conference with the bank's vice-president Liliana Pavlova.
According to Liliana Pavlova, the EIB is closely monitoring the situation in the country in the fight against the pandemic, and the Georgian government's efforts to deal with Covid-19 are impressive.
The importance of funding allocated by EIB to Georgian banks and other business entities was noted.
The European Investment Bank is one of the largest partners for Georgia and the parties hope that the EU's financial support through EIB will significantly help the Georgian economy to fight the crisis and return the high rate of economic development in the post-crisis period.
