Countries from where Georgia Imports Pork

In January-August 2020, Georgia imported 8.872 tons of pork worth $18.372 million.

According to Geostat, the national statistics service of Georgia, the greater part of pork imports was carried out from the following countries:
  • Brazil - 5,912 tons
  • Canada - 1,107 tons
  • Paraguay - 864 tons
  • Argentina - 660 tons
  • Germany - 107 tons
The list also includes Austria, Finland, France, Italy, Poland, Russia and so on.
As for the 2019 indicators, in 2019 the country bought 15,820 tons of pork worth $30.493 million.
The greater part of the 2019 pork imports was carried out from:
  • Brazil - 12,778 tons
  • Canada - 1,513 tons
  • Germany - 270 tons
  • The USA - 238 tons
  • Spain - 229 tons
We remind you that, according to the Revenues Service report, the pork delivered to Poti Seaport from Brazil have been annihilated, as a threat to public health.
