Azerbaijan Railways Launched New Route from Batumi Port
A new service connecting China and Europe via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor) has begun from the port of Batumi, according to a report citing the Azerbaijan Railways CJSC.
A feeder vessel will operate as part of the project between the ports of Georgia's Batumi and Romania's Constanta, transporting containers from Batumi to Constanta and back six times per month.
The new railway (sea) communication between China and Europe will create conditions for a fast and efficient service connection between China and Europe through Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Romania.
