₾ 6.5 Million Allocated for the Rehabilitation of Melikishvili Avenue

Tbilisi City Hall has announced a tender for the rehabilitation of the area in front of the Melikishvili Avenue and Tbilisi Concert Hall.

6.5 million GEL will be spent on the works, which will last for 4 months.

After the rehabilitation, the traffic on Melikishvili Avenue will be two-way for public transport, therefore, buses from Rustaveli Avenue to Chavchavadze Avenue will no longer pass through Kostava Avenue and then Varaziskhevi.

As for rehabilitation, the works include laying new road surface, replacement of underground communications, arrangement of sidewalks and bicycle lanes, construction of underground passage, and replacement of external lighting system.

Receipt of bids will end on January 24, after which City Hall will announce the winning company.
