26% of Georgia’s Export Hazelnuts Go to Germany

The exports of Georgian hazelnuts have doubled. As for August 30, Georgia exported 1,334 tons of hazelnuts, whilst the figure was 693 tons in the same period of 2019.

Georgian hazelnuts are primarily exported to EU markets, including Germany ranks first with 350 tons, Italy is second with 289 tons and the Czech Republic is third with 110 tons.

Georgian hazelnut is also exported to Spain (93 tons), Poland (66 tons), Lithuania (44 tons), Austria (22 tons), Estonia (22 tons), Latvia (21 tons), France (20 tons), Greece (10 tons), Russia (44 tons), Ukraine (29 tons), Mexico (25 tons), Brazil (24 tons), Great Britain (22 tons), Belarus (21 tons) and Armenia (110 tons).
Exports are carried out by about 30 enterprises.
