20-25,000 Russians Entered Georgia Recently

The Minister of Economy, Levan Davitashvili declared that 20,000-25,000 Russian citizens had recently arrived in Georgia.

However, the minister said that the number of Russian citizens is similar to the 2020 period. Levan Davitashvili did not specify exactly in what time juncture did 20-25 thousand Russian citizens enter Georgia. According to him, the Minister of Internal Affairs will make a more detailed explanation on this issue, which is expected in the Parliament soon.

Regarding the activities of Russian citizens, Levan Davitashvili says that Georgia is an "island of freedom" in the region and the country should allow all foreigners who are legally present in the country to work.
