₾ 1.545 Billion to be Spent on Projects in Tbilisi in 2022
1.545 billion GEL will be spent on various projects in Tbilisi next year.
As Kakha Kaladze noted at the Tbilisi government session, 1.305 million GEL is part of the budget, 240 million GEL is part of donor loans.
Among the projects, the city mayor names the implementation of large infrastructure projects. Among them are planned health and social programs, emergency housing replacement program, homeless housing program, construction of new parks and rehabilitation of existing facilities, rehabilitation-construction of kindergartens, etc.
The mayor of the city hopes that the Tbilisi City Council will support the revised budget.
According to him, in the coming years it is planned that the total budget of the capital will reach 1.7 billion GEL.
Kakha Kaladze cited 2017 as an example, when the budget was about 825 million GEL.
"The bigger the budget, the more opportunities we have to implement good projects. Next year's budget will allow our city to be more green, more infrastructurally organized, to help more people. It is also important that the budget for social and health care is about 50 million. It will increase by GEL, ”said the mayor of Tbilisi.
Kakha Kaladze noted that next year 180 units of eight-meter buses will arrive and the problem of public transport will be fully solved.
"In 2022 we will complete the purchase of public transport. This is 180 units of eight-meter buses. Then we are already thinking of introducing 18-meter 200 units of buses, however, at this stage, the purchase of eight-meter buses will completely solve the problem of public transport. By the end of this year, blue minibuses Will come and in the first quarter of next year the yellow minibuses, so-called MArshutkas will be completely replaced, "- said the mayor.
