What is the Fate of Citizens who Violated Terms of their Stay in Europe due to the Virus?
Citizens who have violated the 90-day deadline to stay in the European Union due to the force majeure situation will be shortened, Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani said.
According to the Minister, citizens should contact the embassies and consulates in each country and get information about it.
“There have been many questions lately that citizens coming to Georgia have violated their 90-day stay in Europe. In this regard, we are in coordination with the European Commission and individually with the European countries.
The European Commission has made recommendations to individual member states to take appropriate measures to prevent those people who are in a situation of force majeure, to extend their stay in the EU, and our consulates and embassies are ready to assist Georgian citizens in this regard, "Zalkaliani said.
