U.S Embassy to Announce Alumni Grants
The U.S. Embassy announces guidelines for the 2020 ESF-funded Alumni Program. Pending the availability of funds, this program allows the U.S. Embassy to provide support for U.S. Government (USG) alumni activities.
The program starts on March 20th and continues till June 21st, 2020.
"The Program allows a post to provide individual grants to Georgian USG alumni, for activities that support Georgia’s democratic advancement, western integration, gender equality and social inclusion, cybersecurity and cyber education, economic growth and development of entrepreneurship. The maximum amount of funds that may be requested is $20,000 (pending the availability of funds). Grant proposals must support projects that address a tangible need in a community and have measurable outcomes. Applicants may develop partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including the public and/or private sector as well as local organizations, where applicable. Eligibility is limited to the alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs, who are citizens or residents of Georgia. The maximum project period is one year. Construction, charitable and for-profit projects are not eligible for funding under this program. If a group of alumni cooperates to submit a joint project, the requested amount cannot exceed $20,000. The submitting applicant should be an individual alumnus/alumna or the group of alumni, but the grant can be awarded to the organization partnering in the project. Materials published under these grants must be reviewed and approved by the Embassy prior to dissemination.", is written in the website of U.S Embassy in Georgia.
