Tbilisi to Have Two New Ropeways Improving Traffic Situation

Two new ropeways will be added to Tbilisi. Samgori-Vazisubani and Sarajishvili-Zgvisubani are the places, where Tbilisi City Hall plans to implement.

As Kakha Kaladze stated, the first one will be Samgori-Vazisubani project. The project budget is about 30 million euros. According to the mayor, the fund has already been allocated.

"The Samgori-Vazisubani line will connect the densely populated Vazisubani, which has a population of more than 40,000, with the Samgori metro station, which will dramatically improve the traffic situation in the area.

As for the second project, We are going to rehabilitate Temka gorge and the project will include the station building. Samgori-Vazisubani ropeway will be located on the territory of Samgori metro station, ”the Tbilisi mayor said.
