Screening of Mariam Kapanadze's Animation held at the Museum of Photography in Tokyo

Mariam Kapanadze's animation "Abandoned Village" is visiting Japan for the second time. However, now its screening will be held at the Tokyo Museum of Photography, where The film is selected in the section "Animation that sharpens your senses".

For the first time, the film won an award from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan at the NEW CHITOSE International Animated Film Festival on November 23 at the Hokkaido International Animated Film Festival.

"Abandoned Village" - the debut animated film directed by Mariam Kapanadze, which was created on the basis of the film studio "Kvali XXI" and the Film Center "Georgian Film-Abkhazia", is the winner and funded project of the Georgian National Cinema Center.

After the successful world premiere in Japan, the Georgian animated film was invited to the famous international animation festival" ANIMATEKA "in Slovenia, and now the film is again hosted by Japan. "This is a really happy event, because the abandoned village is the first Georgian animated film to be shown at the Tokyo Museum of Photography," said Mariam Kapanadze.
