Renewed Fencing Hall Opened in Tbilisi

The renewed fencing hall of the Olympic champion Nugzar Asatiani has been opened in Tbilisi. The training area, dressing rooms and showers were rehabilitated. Safety standards are fully met in the hall and meet modern requirements.

Shalva Gogoladze, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Merab Bazadze, President of the Fencing Federation, Mamuka Khabareli, Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee, representatives of the Tbilisi Sakrebulo and the representatives of the Fencing Federation took part in the opening ceremony.

Nugzar Asatiani Fencing Hall was built in 2013 by veteran fencers and handed over to the Fencing Federation. Since then, members of both national and age teams and beginner fencers have been training in the gym.
