Pfizer: Georgia will Receive 1 Million Doses of the Vaccine
Pharmaceutical company Pfizer confirms that Georgia will receive more than 1 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine. "Business Formula" spreads information about it.
As the company explains, the negotiations with the Georgian government are over and they are moving to the stage of concluding an agreement.
"Pfizer is pleased to announce that part of the negotiations with the Government of Georgia on the supply of more than one million doses of BNT162b2 vaccine against SARS-CoV2 is completed. The company is moving to a part of the contract with the Georgian government, "- said in a response to the" Business Formula "provided by the American multinational pharmaceutical company.
In the correspondence with "Business Formula", the company does not specify when Georgia will receive the vaccine and at what price. However, Pfizer's senior media relations manager says some details of the deal will remain confidential after the negotiations are completed.
For reference, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, announced at a government session on May 17 that Georgia will probably receive one million doses of Pfizer in the summer.
"We are negotiating quite successfully on vaccines. We are talking about the introduction of additional vaccines by Pfizer in the summer, around June-July," - said Irakli Gharibashvili.
Georgia received 29,250 doses of Pfizer in March through the COVAX platform.
