Outflow of Intellectual Resources is a Great Loss for the Country - Colin Donohue

It is important that the intellectual potential that exists in the country remains, - Colin Donohue, the head of the Startup Grand Tbilisi office, said in the Business Partner's program

According to him, young people, leaving the country with brilliant technological thinking, start working in Geoogle, in the Silicon Valley in London, while Georgia is losing this resource.

As Donohue points out, if the country loses such highly skilled experts, it will be a great loss for the Georgian economy.

Donohue says the entry of various foreign companies is no less important. According to him, Georgia has the potential to be a hub.

"For example, there are several startups in Azerbaijan who want to come to Georgia because they know that the business environment is better here, there is no pressure from the government and so on. I have been in Georgia for five years and during this time I have been observing the development of the country's ecosystem. Five years ago we were dealing with a very low level in this regard, now the situation has changed," Donohue said.
