Nona Mamulashvili Becomes a Georgian Winner of AsiaGlobal Fellows Program
Nona Mamulashvili, founder and chairman of the Caucasus Institute for Economic Policy, is the winner of the 2020 AsiaGlobal Fellows program at Hong Kong University.
The program selected 16 candidates out of 1,000 applicants, one of whom is Nona, who will be working on the research for 3 months. It should be noted that Vera Kobalia, the former Minister of Economy of Georgia, is among the famous Georgian graduates of this famous university and the corresponding program of Asia.
The AsiaGlobal Fellows program aims to develop interdisciplinary global leaders. One of the most well-known programs in Asia is for high-ranking professionals who want to deepen their knowledge of public policy.
The goal of the program is to enhance the professional knowledge of future leaders and to form a team of influencers. The program aims to get participants to become future qualified leaders and influential diplomats. Participants will explore the ongoing political processes in Asia, which will allow for an in-depth analysis of global policy issues.
The program includes a series of high-level meetings in which participants have the opportunity to meet with policy makers, business leaders, representatives of international organizations and regional experts. Program participants have the opportunity to learn how the Asian public and private sectors work. The program also includes opportunities for professional development and network creation.
The program includes study tours in various public agencies and private companies, as well as in international organizations. Program participants choose a research topic within the program and work for 3 months.
Nona Mamulashvili is the creator of corporate change who believes that the private sector can have a social impact. She is a business leader in overcoming barriers to resistance, has strategic planning experience in cultural and business transformation.
Nona has more than 15 years of experience in the private, public and non-governmental sectors. Nona Mamulashvili holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Georgia) from the International Black Sea University, a Master's degree from the University of Westminster in Diplomacy and International Relations (London / UK), and a Master's degree from the Sorbonne University in History of Arabic and Islamic Civilizations (Paris, France). Doctor of International Relations at the Sorbonne University (France).
Nona Mamulashvili is the President of the Georgian-Swiss Business Association and the Vice-President of the Business Women's Union in Georgia.
She has significant work experience in leading international corporations included in Forbes' list of the top 500 companies. She was also the director of Pfizer, the largest American pharmaceutical company in the Caucasus and Central Asian region.
Amidst to the experience of working in the public sector, Nona Mamulashvili was a senior advisor to the Presidential Analytical Group of the President of Georgia in 2005-2007, and later became a political analyst at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
It should be noted that Nona Mamulashvili is also the winner of the Central Asia-Caucasus program in Rumsfeld. She successfully completed the Fall 2019 program.
