Mikheil Chkhenkeli to Meet Deputy Representative of UNHCR
Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli hosted Kemlin Furley, the deputy representative of UNHCR.
According to the information provided by the Ministry, at the meeting, Mikheil Chkhenkeli stated, that currently the Ministry is implementing several projects for refugees, among those are: Georgian language learning program both for teachers and students.
Deputy representative showed appreciation to Mikheil Chkhenkeli for remarkable collaboration.
At the meeting, Mikheil Chkhenkeli and Kemlin Furley discussed the matters of specific initiatives, which aim to improve educational opportunities for refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), asylum-seekers and promote their integration in society.
Within the frameworks of future collaboration, deputy representative of UNHCR expressed the active readiness and support.
