Martin Scorsese to Shoot Salome Jicia in New Film
Martin Scorsese shot Georgian Opera singer, Salome Jicia in a new documental film, which name is "The Oratorio".
The film is American-Italian co-production and is shot in Saint Peter's temple, in New York, 2019.
The film premiere is planned at the end of January.
In the film, Scorsese examines the process of how the art and culture of immigrants are reflected in American culture and society.
Salome Jicia is born in Zugdidi, in 1986. In 2010 she took her Master’s degree in Piano at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire. In 2008-2011 she studied singing at the Tbilisi Z. Paliashvili Central Music School with Professor Gocha Bejuashvili. In 2013-2014 Salome Jicia continued her studies in Opera Studio of Santa Cecilia National Academy (Rome, Italy).
