Large-scale Research of Georgian Maritime Sector Begins

Large-scale research in the maritime sector is being conducted by the Business Research House, established by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

It is planned to conduct a comprehensive study of the Georgian maritime industry, the purpose of which is to assess the current situation and identify future priorities for the development of the Georgian maritime transport sector.

The first working meeting was held today between the representatives of the House of Business Research and the head of the Maritime Transport Agency. They discussed several areas in which the Maritime Transport Agency is working with the private sector and EU experts.

In December 2020, the country will have a comprehensive maritime strategy document that will combine plans to promote the employment of Georgian sailors, the development of the Georgian flag and seaports, and the promotion of maritime businesses.
