Government to Subsidize Flights for Georgian Emigrants
The Government of Georgia will subsidize return flights for Georgian emigrants abroad, Georgian Economy Minister Natia Turnava noted and added that after arrival, Georgian emigrants will pass a 14-day quarantine period.
“On Monday we will publish the timetable for our citizens and we will transport our citizens from various European capitals in an organized form, as previously, through affordable and subsidized flights. You know that we have been implementing this program actively and successfully amid the pandemic. All Georgian citizens will be able to return to their homeland at the expense of our government and pass quarantine regime”, Natia Turnava noted.
The new phase of subsidized flights was announced by Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia no July 2. Not only one airline should fulfill the flights and competition must be ensured, Giorgi Gakharia noted.
