Government to Sanction Citizens Violating Quarantine Regime
The Georgian Authorities will sanction citizens violating the quarantine regime. The mentioned initiative was put forward by Archil Talakvadze, chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia.
At today’s meeting of the parliament’s bureau, Talakvadze addressed Mamuka Mdinaradze, the parliament’s majority leader, and urged him to prepare a legislative initiative to regulate the mentioned issue.
“At this stage, Georgia is taking effective measures to curb the coronavirus spread. This is the pandemic, the global challenge. Therefore, we should keep control over the situation and it is important that our citizens back and facilitate the measures that are being carried out in the country.
The parliament shows readiness and I ask the majority’s leader to prepare a legislative initiative against violation of the quarantine regime. The bill will introduce sanctions or various administrative measures against quarantine regime violators”, Archil Talakvadze noted.
