Georgia will be Open for International Regular Flights Probably from August 1st - NOTAM
Georgia is expected to open for regular international flights from August 1. The Civil Aviation Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development issues additional NOTAMS, according to which, regular air traffic is restricted until July 31st.
"We would like to inform you, that the restriction on resuming regular air traffic has been extended to July 31, 2020. The Civil Agency has already informed the airlines about the regular flights to Georgia.
The decision to resume regular air traffic will be made worldwide, taking into account the current epidemiological situation in Georgia. Given the circumstances, that the situation for the aviation sector is difficult to predict and globally, decisions are made to remove border and travel restrictions, we urge our citizens and passengers to refrain from purchasing tickets until the date of resuming air traffic will be confirmed through official sources.
Also, we inform you, that before resuming air traffic, multiple charter flights will be launched in several directions. The information about these flights will be published as the flight permits are issued.", the agency noted in the statement.
NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) is a written notification issued to pilots before a flight, advising them of circumstances relating to the state of flying.
