Georgia to Open Land Borders on June 1

On May 25, the Government’s Interdepartmental Coordination Board has taken the decision to open land borders for those individuals who can submit proof of two vaccinations and negative PCR test answers, or only negative PCR test answers.

The latter category will be obliged to pass a new PCR test for 72 hours in Georgia, Giorgi Ghibradze, head of the operating staff of the coordination board noted. “We also recommend all visitors to keep health insurance indicating information on coverage of COVID costs”, Giorgi Ghibradze noted.

Furthermore, under the May 25 decision, the list of countries from where individuals can cross Georgia’s state borders with negative PCR test answers were added Canada, Japan, Kuwait, China, South Korea, Moldova, and Oman.
