Georgia is Hosting EuroBasket for the First Time

Georgia is hosting EuroBasket, the main international basketball competition, for the first time.

“EuroBasket will be hosted in Georgia for the first time this year. Everything is ready for this. We are ready to host the event in the most dignified manner. The first game is scheduled for September 1, 2022. The Georgian team will play on September 1 and we want to once again wish our praiseworthy basketball team every success!” stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.

The event will be held at the Sports Palace. The new Sports Palace, with its crowd capacity reaching 10,000 viewers, occupies 25,000 m2. This multifunctional athletic space can host sports and cultural events of any kind or scale.
